Contact and support

The short version: The fastest way to reach us is the Clutchat support Discord. Bug reports, account questions, reports about players or content, and data requests all go there, and the people who run the bot and the website read it.

Who this is for: Players, organizers and server admins who need help, want to report something or have a data request.

Getting help

Join the support Discord server and post in the help channel. A question that includes the details below can usually be answered on the first reply instead of after three rounds of follow-up questions:

  • Where it happened — the name of the Discord server, or the page on this website (copy the address from your browser).
  • What it was about — the tournament name, and the match or duel ID if there is one. Duel IDs are shown under each entry in /duel history.
  • What you expected and what happened instead — including the exact error message, if the bot showed one. Error messages carry a short code that tells us where to look.
  • A screenshot, where a picture explains it faster than a paragraph.

Please do not post passwords, one-time sign-in codes or anything else that would let someone into your account. We will never ask for them.

What your server decides, and what we handle

Clutchat is a tool that server admins use to run their own communities, so some questions belong to them rather than to us. Your server’s admins and organizers decide who can create tournaments, which result stands when a match is disputed, who is in which clan, and any local rules. If you disagree with a call made inside a server, talk to that server’s staff first — we do not overrule an organizer on the outcome of a match.

We handle the bot and the website themselves: things that are broken, results that the software recorded wrongly, your account and your data, and anything that breaks the community guidelines or the Terms of Service, wherever it was posted.

Reporting a player, team or profile

Every public profile on the website has a Report link that brings you here. That covers a player’s handle, avatar, bio and game profiles. A clan or a tournament team lives in a Discord server, so for its name, its channel or anything its members posted, tell us the server and the clan or team name instead. To make a report, post in the support Discord (a private message to a moderator is fine if you would rather not post in public) and include:

  • the link to the public profile — or the Discord server, the clan or team name and the member’s username, if it happened in a server running the bot;
  • which of the community guidelines you think it breaks, in a sentence;
  • screenshots, if the content may be edited or deleted before we look at it.

A moderator reviews each report against the guidelines. If the content breaks them, it is removed or hidden, and depending on how serious it is the account may be warned, restricted or suspended. We do not publish the outcome of a report about someone else, but we will tell you that it has been dealt with. Reports are handled by people, not automatically, so the time it takes varies; something that puts a person at risk is looked at first.

Do not use reports to settle a disputed match result — that belongs to the organizer of the tournament, as described above.

Bug reports

If something on the website or in the bot does not work the way it should, tell us in the support Discord. Say what you did, what you expected and what happened, and include the error code if there was one. If it only happens on one device or browser, mention which. A bracket that will not advance or a result that was recorded against the wrong side is worth reporting straight away, because the longer a tournament carries on the harder it is to unwind.

Data and privacy requests

To ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion of your account data, contact us through the support Discord and tell us which way you sign in (Discord, Google or email) so we can find your account. We will confirm the request comes from the account holder before acting on it. The Privacy Policy explains what we store, what deletion removes and what a finished competition keeps.

Email

If you cannot use Discord, you can email us at support@clutchat.com. The support Discord is still faster for most questions.
